Museum Aquires Rare Uniforms

We need your help

As a friend of our organisation with a close connection to the Museum we are appealing for your help.

Recently the Museum has purchased a wonderful collection of 8 uniforms associated with the 9th Airforce from a collector. Photos attached.

We have a lot of information on their history and they include: a Major; a Corporal MP, in the Armament Section of a Marauder Group, a staff Sargent  radio operator/gunner from a Marauder and a Marauder pilot.

The collection has been on show in a private Museum where they have been carefully looked after and are in wonderful condition.

To make sure this collection is protected and displayed in the correct manner we need to purchase good quality cabinets made to our specifications.

We also need to purchase monitoring and control equipment for temperature and humidity.

Total expenditure is £5,500. The group has used its own funds of £1200 to purchase the uniforms and mannequins.

This collection will greatly enhance the Museum themes going forward.

We are asking for your support through a donation. This can be done through our website www.boxted-airfield.com  There is a donation page that will accept Dollars or Pounds. Notification of the donation comes straight through to myself so it is very safe. Every donation will be acknowledged.

Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

May I take this opportunity to thank you in advance.

Best Regards

Richard Turner
